Internationalization and international cooperation have been at the top of our priorities as a cutting edge research and teaching university. We strive to integrate further into the community of international higher education in the world through various forms of formal and informal collaboration.

Our international agreements include the exchange of students and exchange of scholars with universities in various parts of the world. Two examples of many successful collaborations are the 20 million Chinese Yuan construction of a joint research center with the East China Normal University in Shanghai, China, and the launch of the $6 million US dollar marine research center with Texas A&M University, USA. We are a part of the ERASMUS+ program organized by the European Commission. Erasmus+ is the EU's program to support higher education and professional training in Europe. This program opens up a plethora of opportunities for our students, faculty, and university staff to expand their horizons through exchange programs and Capacity Building projects.

To date, the University of Haifa has signed over 500 agreements with the universities worldwide, which allow developing exchange programs, accelerating research and collaboration, launching new degree and non-degree programs and much more. We are constantly seeking out new opportunities for such international cooperation.
