To be honest, I don’t think I could’ve asked for a better Erasmus experience than the one I had in Poland. Despite the restrictions put forth due to Covid-19 pandemic, my semester at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków was amazing. Although the classes were online, the professors were learned and the courses were well-planned. They definitely helped me enhance my knowledge. The staff of the Jagiellonian University were also helpful.

Now coming to Poland and the city of Kraków. Kraków is a fascinating city. It has a lot to offer. Its full of museums and other attractions. Its also quite diverse. I met a lot of students from numerous countries around the world. You will never be bored if you are living in Kraków. Poland is undoubtedly a beautiful country. I found the Polish people to be kind, helpful and warm.

I would definitely recommend Poland as an Erasmus destination for those who wish to apply for a semester abroad.

I am currently studying for a master's degree in Holocaust studies at the University of Haifa. During the second year of my master's studies, I decided to participate in the mobility period through the Erasmus+ program at the Jagiellonian University, Krakow Poland.

Jagiellonian University was already known to me, as well as Krakow, so I decided to attend a mobility period at that university again, where for the first time I attended courses related to the Holocaust and antisemitism. Since I had completed the courses that I had to follow for the master's program, my mobility period was somewhat different, as I focused on research for my master's topic, under the guidance of a professor from Jagiellonian University.

This whole experience has been excellent, the professor was also very communicative and helpful with every problem that came my way.

For anyone who would study Holocaust studies, antisemitism, or European history, I would highly recommend the Jagiellonian University and Poland.

On the other hand, apart from the academic side, Krakow offers many opportunities for museums, the Jewish quarter, near it is Aushwits which are very important for the study of the history of the Holocaust.
